What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is an ancient form of healing closely connected to the resources and methods found in the natural environment. It is an important traditional system linked to sustainability and is now part of complementary and integrative medicine. Naturopathy uses a combination of natural therapies to support healthy living and wellbeing, help prevent illness, and stimulate the body’s self-healing processes. It is based on the principle that the body has an innate ability to heal itself.
There are many reasons to consult a naturopath: support with stress management — one of the main drivers of inflammation — or to address concerns related to the skin, cardiovascular or respiratory system, sleep, digestion, or immune health. People may also seek naturopathic care for emotional or relational support.
Rather than focusing only on suppressing symptoms, as is often the case in conventional medicine, naturopathy works in cooperation with the person’s resources, context and needs.
Health and balance are a journey of self-awareness and a deepening relationship with oneself.
My approach and tools
I provide a comprehensive wellbeing plan, including dietary guidance. My method is to understand each aspect of the person in order to see them holistically and identify their constitution (that is, their individual terrain — physical, mental and emotional characteristics). From there, I look for patterns and layers within the symptoms, determine the root cause of imbalance, and design an individualised care plan using a variety of natural remedies.
The tools I most often use:
- Iridology
- Foot reflexology
- Massage therapies
- Herbal remedies
- Aromatherapy
- Phytotheraphy
- Natural diet and superfoods
- Hydrotherapy
Usually, a stable healing journey lasts around 3–6 months and may include two or more consultations.
How the consultation take place
At the first (diagnostic) consultation, your overall balance is assessed through iridology and an evaluation of your resilience and response systems. Psycho-emotional aspects are also taken into account.
Online and in-person consultations typically last one hour. Afterwards, I will provide a personalised wellbeing plan, which may include natural remedies and/or body-based techniques, depending on your needs and circumstances.
All sessions include weekly WhatsApp support for one month.
What you get
The mission of naturopathy is to give people the tools to care for their health autonomously: identifying the most suitable natural remedies, the right diet, appropriate movement, how to adapt habits through different life stages and seasons, and how to manage periods of stress.
These insights can help support your whole system, including:
- digestion and assimilation
- strengthening structure (bones, hair)
- calming skin reactions
- relaxing and easing anxiety or stress
- reducing fluid retention and relieving tension
- improving focus and concentration
- supporting healthy sleep
- …
By improving your psycho-physical wellbeing, you may notice positive effects in your relationships and across your lifestyle. A closer relationship with nature’s remedies can also support broader improvements in overall wellbeing.
Naturopathy is regulated by professional associations, and I’m a member of Protenat Spain.
